Dear Tom and Duval,

Just a note to tell you how thrilled we are with our new kitchen. Admittedly, we came to you with some reservations about remodeling, but your professional manner and thoroughness greatly reassured us during the planning stages. From start to finish, we were very impressed with the smooth orchestration of events and attention to detail. Granted, ours was a small job for you, but we never felt that way.

The transformation which took place in our kitchen is amazing. The cabinets not only complement our decor, but also make life much easier with all of the built-in conveniences. Things are so well-organized now, we wonder how we ever managed before! Now we enjoy eating in our new kitchen, often catching ourselves staring at our surroundings in awe. Thank you, Tom and Duval for giving us a beautiful kitchen that we can be proud of!

Thank you for guiding us through the renovation of our 60 year old kitchen. Duval, you listened to our wants and needs and came up with a couple of good designs to choose from. As we zeroed in on the final design, you worked with us to make choices that we were happy with, giving us the benefit of your experience in all the little details.When the time came for installation, Tom, you did an excellent job and kept right on schedule.

We are absolutely delighted with the final results! The design is convenient as well as attractive. Hardly a day goes by when one of us doesn't say "Isn't our kitchen wonderful!" Everyone who sees it comments on the high quality of the work. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Dear Duval and Tom,

We have been back in our kitchen for a year and a half now and have thoroughly utilized every facet of our "new" kitchen. Its design, quality and livability continue to earn excellent marks even with the passage of time. 

From the beginning, we were impressed with your professional knowledge and personal style. You listened to what we wanted and honored our budget constraints while designing a beautiful, efficient, kitchen. We particularly appreciated your ability to work with our architect and contractor. Whenever, confusion surfaced regarding plans or their interpretation, you were always honest, courteous and solution-oriented. During the installation, Tom went beyond the call of duty in fixing problems he had not created and exhibiting the talents of a superior craftsman.

I am delighted to report that your kitchen has consistently passed the tests of a rambunctious three year-old and a curious toddler. My birch cabinets still look new despite being banged by toy hammers and smashed into by speeding fire trucks! My countertops belie their history of being drawn and painted upon! And the efficiency of the design has given me peace of mind when no one else will!

On behalf of our family, I wish to commend Kitchens By Design, and specifically, Duval and Tom Acker (Our designer and our contractor), for the outstanding work on our recent and massive kitchen renovation project.

From start to finish, this has been a truly professional endeavor, Duvall was a creative artist as she advised us on the original design, and during construction, Tom was ever the exacting builder - insisting on perfection at every turn.

The project included the complete destruction and re-build of two rooms located in an historic downtown residence. It required a lot of change-as-you-go construction, and was a real challenge. The cabinetry, the appliances are all wonderful. The overall results speak for themselves. We are absolutely delighted, and we are now spending a lot of time in our new expanded kitchen area. A big "Well Done" to the Ackers.

Dear Duval,

We have now enjoyed our wonderful new kitchen for over a year, and I thought it was about time that I put down in writing how much we love it. First, it is a delight to the eye. I get a happy feeling just walking into the room, and spend a lot of time there even when I don't cook or clean. Second, it is very functional. Your advice to use all purpose cabinets rather than one purpose cabinets was very wise. Since I am a short person, I have already rearranged/moved the contents of several cabinet to accommodate my height as well as using the same cabinets for the items that are most often used. We want to compliment and thank you and Tom for a WONDERFUL JOB!

My wife and I want to thank you all for the super job you did on the kitchen and the remodeling of the other two rooms! Although we are still unpacking, discarding, re-arranging and otherwise getting back to normal, at the same time we are enjoying the kitchen and realize its something we should have done a long time ago. We want to especially thank you for keeping up with the job process so that all the "subs" were coordinated and all the work came together at the same time. Thanks again for all the good work!!
