The home of this renowned interior designer contains a multi-purpose kitchen for her very active family of five. Dining, display and meal preparation are all accommodated within a modest space. The columned rich cherry island is two level, proving two spots for higher chars, and a "screen" for the cooktop concealed behind. A large double window overlooks a charming garden, and plenteous counter space with prep and assembly areas well situated. There are two matching wall cabinets opposite the island, each with flip-up retractable door, one concealing the microwave and the other containing small appliances. Another perfect balance is struck with two matching call column cabinets, one with pull out pantry adjacent to the refrigerator, and the other with many adjustable shelves, "enclosing" the handsome painted chest. The designer carefully chose two different woods and finishes for cabinetry, added just eh right granite colors for countertops, then punctuated the room with very handsome ceramic tile and accent corner. Last, she applied a variety of handles throughout to add just the whimsical touches needed. Truly, this room is a panorama for the eyes!
